Hello-
There’s been some discussion regarding a change to The PPAI Expo exhibitor directory and I wanted to take a moment to clear up any confusion. Beginning in 2011, there will no longer be a thick, heavy printed directory. Instead, attendees will receive a convenient, on-the-go guide which will include company names, booth numbers, floorplan, featured product pavilions descriptions and photos—an onsite supplement to the robust, comprehensive show-planning tool, Expo PlanIt.
This change not only signifies an important move in support of a greener, more eco-friendly tradeshow, but meets distributors’ demands for up-to-the-minute, 24/7 access to exhibitors’ contact information and product offerings.
While the exhibitor directory was a useful tool, it had its limitations. With the adoption of Expo PlanIt, attendees can now schedule meetings with exhibitors, create a printable, customized show-floor route (like who to see when and in what order) and create sell sheets for their customers all from within the onsite planner.
We also have a mobile version of Expo PlanIt that allows distributors to use the most important and convenient features while walking the aisles of Expo. Additionally, registered attendees have direct—free—access before, during and after the show.
Expo PlanIt opens the door for the sharing of more company and product information, more advertising opportunities and greater, long-lasting exposure which can continue to generate interest—and sales—long after the show has ended.
The PPAI Expo team is excited about these new communication tools and believes the change ushers in a new and exciting, technology-driven time for both exhibitors and attendees.
If you have any additional comments, questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me or your account executive directly.
Thanks so much, I look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas!
