Social Media: Legal Considerations
Many credit teams in the B2B space are considering social media a component in evaluating credit risk factors, especially for small and mid-sized companies. This session presented by Scott Blakeley, Esq., Carl Stronach, and Craig Combs will discuss the interplay between social media and trade relationships; customer use of social media to increase market presence; and credit teams’ use of social media sites to evaluate and monitor credit risk. Learn best practices for making social media part of a credit and collection policy, and the use of social media in all stages of the credit relationship.

Scott Blakeley Blakeley LLP View speaker details
Scott Blakeley is a founding partner at Blakeley LLP, where he advises companies regarding creditors’ rights and bankruptcy law. Blakeley has published dozens of articles and manuals in creditors’ rights, commercial law and bankruptcy.
Carl Stronach View speaker details
Carl Stronach is product manager for the Experian API Developer Portal. He is focused on exposing Experian’s business information to developers. In addition to adding traditional Experian, Stronach is working to develop new products based on alternative data sources that can be used to help credit management professionals make better and faster decisions. Prior to joining Experian in 2014, Stronach attended the University of California—Irvine for his MBA, and prior to that he spent six years in New York City as general manager of an education startup called Musika, where he led the company’s national expansion.
