Carole Bober Gentry is a seasoned professional with more than 30 years of communications and public-relations experience. As the Managing Director of Communications for Maryland Lottery and Gaming, an agency with 300 employees and annual sales of more than two billion dollars, Carole oversees public and media relations, employee communications, community engagement and public affairs. Additionally, she serves as the agency spokesperson and on-air personality. A graduate of the Ithaca College School of Communications in Upstate New York, Carole began her career as an advertising copywriter in Chicago, Illinois. She transitioned from advertising to political campaign work, and spent a number of years as the campaign manager for former U.S. Congressman (and current U.S. Senator) Benjamin L. Cardin. Carole also co-authored The After-College Guide to Life, a no-nonsense advice guide on coping with the challenges of the post-college world. Outside of her lottery career, Carole puts her energy and enthusiasm to work delivering unique, informative and entertaining multi-media presentations on effective communications. A homegrown Jersey girl, Carole currently lives in Maryland with her husband, Jim and is the proud mother of two grown humans and three mature cats.
