Learning Lab: How To Avoid Screen-Printing Mistakes
Almost everyone involved with garments uses vector art, flat, two-dimensional art, for their clients, and it seems nearly everyone owns the similar clip art programs. To stand out among the competition, three-dimensional raster images are the way to go. This session from Charlie Taublieb will address how to optimize the artwork, separate it and print it. Learn about screen tension, screen mesh, squeegee selection, ink and production procedures to produce successful finished products, and see a demonstration of separation software. This seminar is recommended for industry professionals with some knowledge of screen printing procedures, or those who have artists who want to work with raster art. Participants should plan on bringing their own laptop for this session to make updates along with the presenters. Mobile devices including iPads are not recommended for this session. Registration for a Learning Lab session also includes the opportunity to schedule one complimentary professional headshot while at Expo, participants will be notified by email for the available times prior to being at Expo.
